Questions we hear before the first call

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how we work, who we fund, and what to expect. If yours isn't here, a confidential consultation costs nothing.

01What exactly does GrowLotus do?
We're a private funding advisory. We don't lend our own money — we structure your case and place it with the right private funder, NBFC, or investor in our network, for growth capital, project funding, or stressed-asset situations.
02How are you different from a bank, NBFC, or broker?
Banks lend against policy; we structure around your situation. Unlike a broker who shops your file around, we work a small number of cases at a time and stay involved through structuring, negotiation, and closing.
03What size of funding can you arrange?
Our sweet spot is ₹1 crore and above, with no fixed ceiling — we've structured deals from ₹1 crore of unsecured working capital to ₹40 crore of project funding.
04Will you still help if banks have already rejected us?
That's often exactly when we're most useful. A bank rejection usually reflects policy limits, not the absence of a viable business — private capital can look past that if the fundamentals hold up.
05What counts as a "stressed asset" or NPA case?
Any account that's slipped into SMA or NPA classification, or is heading there — missed EMIs, a restructuring gone wrong, or a lender that's stopped engaging. We assess the underlying business, not just the classification.
06What is an OTS, and can you structure one for us?
A One-Time Settlement closes out your existing bank liability for a negotiated lump sum, usually below the outstanding book value. We negotiate the settlement and arrange the fresh capital to fund it, in parallel.
07Can you help if our account is heading toward auction?
Time matters most here. If a SARFAESI notice or auction date has been issued, contact us immediately — the earlier we're in, the more room there is to negotiate a settlement or bring in capital before the timeline closes.
08Do you always require collateral?
No. We arrange secured, unsecured, and hybrid structures. Which one fits depends on your cash flows, existing charges, and the funder — not a fixed rule.
09Which industries or sectors do you work with?
All of them. We're industry-agnostic by design — manufacturing, retail, real estate, healthcare, hospitality, trading, and more. The financials are the brief, not the sector.
10How long does it typically take to arrange capital?
A confidential consult happens within 48 hours, and financial review within a week. Most cases close in 2–4 weeks after that, though urgent stressed-asset situations can move faster.
11What documents do you need to start evaluating our case?
To start, we typically need recent bank statements, financial statements, existing loan or restructuring documents, and — for stressed cases — any notices you've received. We'll tell you exactly what's needed after the first call.
12Will our situation stay confidential?
Yes. Every conversation, and every case we place, is handled in strict confidence — with lenders, investors, and staff alike. Discretion is part of the service, not an add-on.
13How does GrowLotus charge for its services?
The confidential consultation and financial review cost nothing. Our advisory fee is a success-based percentage of the capital arranged, agreed upfront before we engage our network on your behalf.
14What's the difference between growth capital and project funding?
Growth capital funds an existing, revenue-generating business — inventory, expansion, working capital. Project funding backs a specific new build or venture, structured against its own projections and milestones.
15Do you arrange equity, or only debt?
Both, and hybrids of the two. Where a pure debt structure doesn't fit — an early-stage project, for instance — we've placed term-plus-equity deals that protect your ownership while still closing the funding gap.
